Based on
VPAT® 2.5 WCAG 2.2 and Revised Section 508 Edition

This Accessibility Conformance Report presents the results of Laserfiche's accessibility evaluation of Forms. Conformance was evaluated against WCAG 2.2, 2.1 (Level A and AA). Success criteria outside the evaluated scope — including later WCAG 2.2 additions and all Level AAA criteria that were not tested — are listed as "Not Evaluated" rather than assigned an untested rating. Forms can be fully customized, so form designers are also responsible for maintaining compliance in each area; actual conformance can vary with how a given form is built. This report consolidates the evaluations of: Forms 12 (WCAG 2.2, 2025-07-15); Form Fill / user-facing form (WCAG 2.1, 2024-09-06).

How to read this report

Each table below covers one part of the standard. Every row names one accessibility rule (a “criterion”), shows a conformance level, and explains the rating. The conformance levels mean:

Supports
The functionality of the product has at least one method that meets the criterion without known defects or meets with equivalent facilitation.
Partially Supports
Some functionality of the product does not meet the criterion.
Does Not Support
The majority of product functionality does not meet the criterion.
Not Applicable
The criterion is not relevant to the product.
Not Evaluated
The product has not been evaluated against the criterion. This can only be used in WCAG Level AAA criteria.

How we tested: Manual testing and screen-reader testing with NVDA, keyboard-only testing, color-contrast checking with the WCAG Contrast Checker, and automated scans with axe DevTools, WAVE, Lighthouse, and Accessibility Insights for Web. A third-party accessibility consultant's assessment was also incorporated.

Table 1: Success Criteria, Level A

Table 1: Success Criteria, Level A — conformance of Forms. Each row lists a criterion, the conformance level, and remarks.
CriteriaConformance levelRemarks and explanations
1.1.1: Non-text Content
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:The new form designer leaves some icon buttons/images without alternate text; in classic forms the delete button for collection/table/file-upload/geolocation is announced as "times".
1.2.1: Audio-only and Video-only (Prerecorded)
  • Web: Not Applicable
  • Web:No pre-recorded audio or video in Forms.
1.2.2: Captions (Prerecorded)
  • Web: Not Applicable
  • Web:No pre-recorded audio or video in Forms.
1.2.3: Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded)
  • Web: Not Applicable
  • Web:No pre-recorded audio or video in Forms.
1.3.1: Info and Relationships
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:Certain elements are missing ARIA roles, and some fields have incorrect ARIA labels, headers, table markup, formatted lists, or labels.
1.3.2: Meaningful Sequence
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:The date/time picker DOM position can be improved, some elements are not keyboard accessible and are skipped by screen readers, and the screen reader can escape the delete modal; the Themes color picker is inserted after the main content instead of its logical DOM position.
1.3.3: Sensory Characteristics
  • Web: Supports
  • Web:No remarks.
1.4.1: Use of Color
  • Web: Supports
  • Web:No remarks.
1.4.2: Audio Control
  • Web: Not Applicable
  • Web:No audio on any web page.
2.1.1: Keyboard
  • Web: Does Not Support
  • Web:The form and process designers are WYSIWYG drag-and-drop interfaces with no keyboard functionality; signature, rich-text, and file-upload fields in the new form designer do not fully support keyboard interaction, and some areas (inbox column filter, inbox right pane, reordering selected columns) cannot be operated by keyboard.
2.1.2: No Keyboard Trap
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:Keyboard trap on the classic form designer's Error Messages page and CSS/JS page.
2.1.4: Character Key Shortcuts

2.2.2: Pause, Stop, Hide
  • Web: Supports
  • Web:Users can turn off auto-updating for the Inbox task list; no animations out of the box.
2.3.1: Three Flashes or Below Threshold
  • Web: Supports

  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:Page titles are not unique across different forms, Configuration-site pages, or designer pages for different processes and forms.
2.4.3: Focus Order
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:Focus order is incorrect for signature and rich-text fields in the new form designer; modals may not receive focus when opened or restore focus when closed, and focus can jump, land on hidden elements, or follow an incorrect order.
2.4.4: Link Purpose (In Context)
  • Web: Supports
  • Web:Links in filled forms are user-generated and depend on the designer's intent.
2.5.1: Pointer Gestures
  • Web: Supports
  • Web:No remarks.
2.5.2: Pointer Cancellation
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:In classic form designers, fields can be dropped in the wrong location after releasing the mouse button.
2.5.3: Label in Name
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:Elements in the new form designer lack associated labels, some accessible elements have no visible label, and some accessible names do not match their visible labels.

3.2.6: Consistent Help
  • Web: Supports
  • Web:No remarks.
3.3.1: Error Identification
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:Errors in the new form designer are not bound to their controls; on the classic Custom Errors page a validation error on the "For" scope cannot be programmatically identified.
3.3.2: Labels or Instructions
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:The new form designer can produce forms with missing labels, some accessible elements lack visible labels, and some inputs have missing or unclear labels.
3.3.7: Redundant Entry
  • Web: Supports
  • Web:No remarks.
4.1.1: Parsing
  • Web: Partially Supports
  • Web:ARIA IDs are not unique for table columns in classic forms; some ARIA roles lack required children or a proper parent, and some elements lack unique IDs or have incorrect ARIA labels.
4.1.2: Name, Role, Value
  • Web: Does Not Support
  • Web:Some buttons lack an ARIA role, accessible name, or discernible text; states are not always conveyed to screen readers, some elements are coded incorrectly, some tabs are missing ARIA labels, and some roles or labels are incorrect.
